Almut Tina Schmidt, born in 1971 in Göttingen, studied literary history, philosophy, political science in Freiburg, lives in Vienna.
In 2002, Droschl published her story Auswachsen, in 2008 her novel In Wirklichkeit. She also writes children’s books, plays and radio plays. In 1999, she received the ›open mike‹ prize, in 2003 the literary prize ›Das neue Buch‹ and in 2012 the Walter Serner Prize.
