Carolina Schutti was born in Innsbruck in 1976, where she still lives.
She has published numerous books that have been translated so far into seventeen languages and have received numerous awards, including the EU literature prize in 2015 for Once I must have trod on soft Grass.
With a chapter of Heaven is a Small Circle Schutti was nominated for the 2020 Ingeborg Bachmann award.
