This volume is the first complete collection of Mela Hartwig’s stories: novellas from her famous debut Ekstasen (Ecstasies), some tales preserved through her literary estate, the novella Das Wunder von Ulm (The Miracle of Ulm) printed in 1936 by a French exiled publisher and Georgslegende (The Legend of George), the only prose publication released after 1945.
